Hi Fed up of being broke
I would suggest that like others have said, keep a spending diary, it is amazing how much you end up spending on rubbish - mainly food, coffee's, magazines and junk food in my case, with nothing to show for it at the end of the month!
Would you consider a lodger? Even if for 6 months it would make a considerable difference and you could throw it all at your debt.
Regarding the tube cost, could you walk instead? Or even catch the bus / use a boris bike? All more pleasant than the tube, and little bits of savings here and there soon add up.

Hi Ms London
Thats something I will definately have a look at I guess i've just learnt how to get to work one way and stuck to it! i'm not a londoner so not very street-wise - i'm guessing a bus should be cheaper?..
i'm thinking of putting some stuff on ebay - but what to people buy? i've not sold anything on there before.... i guess I could just put anything on seeing as its free!
i've also read about the no new toilettries challenge on here - i've gone through my cupboards and i have quite a lot stashed away so i'm going to try and use all that up before I buy anything else...with the exception on Shampoo as i have a sensitive scalp and the majority of stuff shoved in the back of the cupboard is shampoo thats irritated my head...might shoot over to MSE old style and if there are any uses for shampoo and conditioner...
i'm liking this new start :T0 -

You may not, but it is worth looking into - for example I save £40 a month by missing out the tube and walking, quite a nice walk and much much better than the stuffy tubes!
It is quite suprising what people will buy on ebay - so no harm in trying.
This whole site is fab, and lots of challenges, but best of all people being in the same boat which makes you feel not quite so alone.
