    Hi.and welcome.

If you take a look at the wording on the V5c for the car, you will note it mentions , the person identified as the Registered Keeper may not be the actual owner.

For it is the Registered Keeper identified by the V5c.

The issue really boils down to 'who is the owner' of the car.

Since the HP agreement is in the name of another...and is paid by another....the car is actually 'owned' by the HP company....until such time as the contract says otherwise.

Since you do not have a full driving licence, so therefore do not 'use' the car, I don't think the OR will be concerned about it....since it does not form part of your assets
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

So effectively, I own a vehicle that someone else has always paid for and is liable to continue to pay for!?!

You've got this the wrong way round, as Alistair says. The owner is not necessarily the registered keeper of the vehicle.

As you no doubt have paperwork to prove you do not own the vehicle then I see no reason for the finance company to be informed of your BR.
When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN :D
