I reckon it's 1989. In their history section it says for 1890:James Allen Sharwood proudly presented his first range of Indian chutneys, pickles and curry powders from Bombay and Madras to a warmly appreciative British public. Almost overnight, the name Sharwood's became synonymous with the powerful flavours and magical aromas of Indian cuisine.
- so if he first sold chutney in 1890, the Green Label Mango Chutney couldn't have appeared a year earlier.
