  • I have been to two wedding recently and worn the same dress to both - white background with purple flowers and I wore white sandals too. Quite acceptable to wear white shoes.
  • Wearing an all white outfit to someones wedding is a NO NO NO!
But wearing white shoes is fine
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!! :p

I wont be bothered by people wearing white to my wedding...in fact DSSs girlfriend is apparently wearing white. But woe betide anyone who shows up in silver which I'm wearing :)

As others have said, the white or black rule doesn't apply to shoes or accessories. Wear whatever shoes you are comfortable in.

As for the disproval of the relatives, the bride should thank you. If they are that petty, it will distract their idle gossip from her and/or her wedding arrangements. :D
  • Thanks all! I do over-think these things. I went to a funeral last week and couldn't find a respectable black dress so ended up in a knee length black dress with a muted print. Hardly anyone was wearing all black, just smart, darker coloured clothes, and lots of people commented on how lovely the dress was.

I must say I'm rather enjoying wearing what I already have in my wardrobe and not buying new things!
