Hello my first post so go gentle.... I'd like to tell everyone about this that I found at my local Tesco. F1 2011 on PS3 SEL £34.70 scanned at £36. Offer price ends today. When I queried it at CS they offered me DTD - should I have been offered a full refund, or doesn't that policy exist anymore?
TIA

So can anyone tell me ifi should have received a full refund or DTD?0

No[he gently says],because this is a GRABBIT forum only..0

I'm pretty sure R+R was replaced by DTD, so offering you double the difference would have been correct.0

Hi,yes, double the difference is correct. If Tesco had carried on with total refunds just because a mistake was made we would all be paying through higher prices. As it is,I think double the difference is very generous,no other store,as far as i know, offers that.0

and people who answer these posts just encourage everyone to misuse it0

Come on funny guy,the poster said it was their first time,so go easy! No harm done.0

No it is not generous. They do it because if they did not, Trading Standards would be round once a month doing spot checks and fining the store for every infraction.
By agreeing to offer these double the difference they have an informal agreement with Trading Standards, not to pursue the publics' mis-pricing complaints.
I personally think that this is the wrong tack to take and Trading Standards should prosecute all shops that consistently mis-price because many shoppers will not have realised and the shops are probably getting away with much more money being paid to them then they are paying out in DTD.0
