Quoting from the Free cinema tickets thread

Thanks to akg250978. The details are as follows:-

Blades of Glory (cert PG) is released in cinemas on April 6, but you can see it first at our previews on Sunday, April 1. 10.30am

To claim two tickets, choose your Vue cinema from the list below, then call the booking line.

You will be given a reference number. Write that number in the space on the panel and present this page at the cinema on April 1

    0901 553 0240 (UK, 50p/min)

Calls should last no longer than four minutes. Calls from mobiles and other networks may cost more. You will be given a reference number. Write that in the box below and take to the cinema on the day of the screening. Lines close at midnight on March 30, or when all tickets have been allocated.

    Participating VUE cinemas

London: Acton, Croydon Grants, Finchley North, Finchley Road, Fulham, Harrow, Islington, Shepherds Bush

Basingstoke Festival, Birmingham, Bolton, Bristol Longwell, Cambridge, Cardiff, Cheshire Oaks, Edinburgh Omni, Leeds Kirkstall,Northampton, Oxford, Plymouth, Reading, Romford, Staines, Swansea, York
  • If you live in Leeds, and plan well ahead;

A free screening of this comedy starring Ben Stiller, Ricky Gervais on Sunday May 20th, 2.30 p.m. at the War Cinema in the Royal Armouries.

The museum's largely free too, so you could make a day of it.

    Details on the webpage:

How do you get the tickets? I could make that date at the moment & I loved the film in the cinema.
2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please

I believe it's 'just turn up' but there is an information line on the webpage to double check.

An Inconvenient Truth – 7.30pm March 28th Station Hill Baptist Church, Chippenham.

Former vice-president Al Gore talks about global warming and the consequences of ignoring the issue in this highly acclaimed film. Winner of best documentary feature at the 79th Academy Awards aka the Oscars.

This is open to all according to local posters but agnostics, atheists and heretics should be aware that the local church community will of course want to make you feel welcome.

This is Chippenham Wiltshire (not Cambridgeshire).

BTW - I have no connection to the church above. I am an atheist but have an interest in the film.

This film's been out on video for quite a while now. Thanks for posting, but unless you live right in Chippenham, it's probably cheaper to just rent the video!

Yes you are right, people need to be sensible and work out the travelling costs for freebies.

However for those of us that live in walking distance it's a genuine free offer that qualifies for this board.
