Monthly report due out soon but here is the Quarterly Report:
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/hpi/historical/Q3_2011.pdf
"“For the UK as a whole, prices were virtually unchanged
in the third quarter, with a 0.1% seasonally adjusted fall.
There was a slight improvement in the annual rate of
change from -1.2% to -0.5%".
Second leg down anyone?

-0.1% over a quarter, yes. If this carries on they could be, well, nearly half a percent down by this time next year.0 -
5% up here - (and that's from a homeowner with only an academic interest in prices as I have no intention of moving!)Adventure before Dementia!0

Average rent 5.5%.
Average mortgage 3.5%.
Average house price -0.5%.
Even with falling prices it's still cheaper to buy than rent the same property, on average.:)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Nice little 5% rise over the past quarter in Wandsworth. Add that to a 7% rental return, and its great news all round for my latest addition to the property portfolio !!
