Blast those pesky distressed sellers.0

The figures highlight the 'property apartheid' between London and the rest of the country.
It's time to dust off my 'free Nelson Mandela' single and stop buying minging South African wine.0 -
this is the news that.....
- everyone knows
- some people simply can't or won't accept
- some people are terrified by, because they got far too greedy
- the daily express will never print
the housing market is going to experience the price correction it so badly needs very soon0 -
They obviously read Graham's post about the LR figures.0

Biggest falls since records began eh?
"but it's the daily fail...."0 -
Graham, I think you're right. It's going to be a slow, long decrease of house values for several years - just a 1% a month drop for 2 years would make a huge difference!Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045
Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 20370 -
Hmm, theres so much opposing and contradicting info and views out there, everyday seems to bring a new thread about surges either up down or very usually both in prices. It's my view that nearly all things posted about house prices here is utter !!!!!!!!. I try not to comment too often because it's a waste of energy.

The deliberate flamebaiting from one or two members on this part of the forums is particulary dissapointing.:www: Progress Report :www:
Offer accepted: £107'000
Deposit: £23'000
Mortgage approved for: £84'000
Exchanged: 2/3/16
:T ... complete on 9/3/16 ... :T0 -
I completely agree. For some on this forum (but then it was set up specifically to discuss house prices and the economy) this topic is the gift that just keeps on giving. Various contradictory monthly figures, coupled with spin by the newspapers according to their readership, but I have yet to see anyone actually change their views about house prices on the basis of either the figures or someone else's analysis of them.Hmm, theres so much opposing and contradicting info and views out there, everyday seems to bring a new thread about surges either up down or very usually both in prices. It reminds me of discussions about football in the pub on a Friday night before the match, and then again on the Saturday night afterwards. Then again, I quite enjoy those discussions in the pub, although a pint or two of real ale may add to the experience."When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0 -
if i'd written this i would absolutely not have used the word 'apartheid' - why compare variations in inflation to something so heinous?
mind you, stretching my mind back to [as a child] reading the sports pages of my parents' DM in the early eighties, its coverage of rebel cricket tours at the time wasn't particularly suggestive of a strong anti-apartheid stance.FACT.0 -
