Joint mortgage application - 1 salary

My wife and I applied (online - YBS) for, and received an AIP for a mortgage. My wife is the first applicant and I am the second. At that time (and currently) my salary is 30K, I have now been formally accepted for voluntary redundancy at work and am on notice to finish in a month. This is very much what we want, however clearly when we submit the full application I will need to explain that I am now a househusband and my salary has changed (to 0!). Even with the remaining salary we are still comfortably within the normal lending limits for what we want to borrow. Is this likely to have any impact on converting the AIP into a full mortgage offer?

Thanks.

Any change to the data between AIP and full application is likely to at least cause a review to be necessary. The system is looking for all the data to match what you input previously.

I'd ring the Yorkshire and talk it through with them before you do anything else. They might even want you to reapply from scratch.

Thanks. Rang them - told to just log on and edit AIP stage application - removed my job status and salary, pressed button and: still approved!.
