bank account fruad

HI i know this ids prob not the correct area to post in but its the only one i have used.

Checked my bank online this morning to find 3 unathuorised withdrawls form a company i have never heard of , they have taken just enough to clear me out !!!! Got straight onto bank, but they cant do anything right now as the transactions came in over night. so i have to call back tomorrow morning !! (rubbish ) worried sick now. my morgate money is gone! my DMP money comes out later this month but hopefully will get sorted by then . What a pickle anyone got any good tips . Bank with the CO-OP cashminder by the way not really had any probs with them before.

    omg how awful, make sure you hound your bank to get your money back and if any charges occur claim them all back

    We had our debit card cloned last week and the bank were really good about it. Try ringing back and ask to speak to the fraud department?

    Once you get through to the right people you should get sorted quite quickly.

    You might be just as well to put a call in to whoever your mortgage is with and explain the situation in advance, just in case there is a problem, likewise with the DMP. This will go in your favour should you miss a payment.
