Waitrose/marks and spencers ordered cakes

Does anyone know what they do with cakes ordered to collect instore but not collected at the end of the day. Esp the stratford city and canary wharf branches. Thanks

That situation hardly ever arises to be honest.. If it did the customer would be contacted then the cake would most likely be put up for sale on the shop floor patisserie / reduced for Partner Shopping or transfered & put in the Dining Room for Partners to eat0

This. You are more likely to find a reduced cake that has been sitting in the glass case at Waitrose for too long!
As someone who is in Waitrose nearly every day, I've only seen one catering order put out for reduced sale in over two years.0
