Good quality second hand clothes

I'm a student in Aberystwyth and I miss lovely clothes!
Obviously I don't have much money, but I am a big fan of buying less but better quality and previously I have done very well from using good quality second hand designer shops.
I'm away from all these great shops now, in the middle of rural Wales! I've tried ebay but I am not a fan of the auctions to be honest as I get sad if i miss out of what seems like a bargin at first!
Any tips and tricks would be wonderful.
Thanks!

Are their any charity shops around? I've had some great bargains, a couple of the most recent being a 100% cashmere plaid scarf and a pair of sheepskin gloves lined with goatskin. I also prefer to buy quality clothes. I paid £6 recently for a ribbed polo-neck jumper in Oxfam, I could have bought one for the same price in Primark but the difference is the one I bought was 100% lambswool and the ones in Primark are nasty acrylic.0

Try this site http://www.ibootsale.co.uk/browse/20 as you can haggle you might be able to get some bargains - I haven't used it myself and have only had a quick look but it seems good!0
