Interesting candid view from a market trader in this BBC item: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15059135
It is naturally infuriating for most people to hear the almost gloating tone of the language of one of the 'Masters of the Universe', however putting that aside he makes some very interesting points. One of which suggests that traders are now actively betting (and thereby aiding) that the european economy will meltdown.
One gets the depressing sense that financial collapse of the traditional banks and the euro is near inevitable. I am sure I don't need to spell out the consequences of this.
House prices will become dirt, but don't worry.. no-one will be able to buy one anyway because there will be no-one to lend the money to do so. Bears, particularly those that have sold to rent, have a real risk in where their money is invested.
My pension fund has lost a great deal in the past few weeks and not entirely sure at this stage where to go with it. Today it has a reasonable value of around half a million, where will it be in the days ahead I wonder.
Worrying times.
