CCJ's

If you mean a court document for you to fill in for the CCJ then it would have been within the time period you stated - the CCJ would have been registered on your file from the date the CCJ was issued.Debt is not the be all and end all. There is always a solution!0

Hi,
I just want to clarify something....the debt is paid in full. I'm just trying to figure out when it would have been added to my credit file.
I received the letter in July 2001, but they had been trying to trace me as I'd moved house, so maybe the CCJ was added before July 2001 and maybe it will disappear from my credit file sooner?0 -
What was the letter about that was sent to you in 2001? Was it a court document, or a letter chasing funds?Debt is not the be all and end all. There is always a solution!0

It was a letter chasing funds.
I never received any court information, because due to being an incredibly stupid idiot when I was younger, I moved house and didn't give a forwarding address. The DCA traced me down.0 -
ok - so when did you receive a court document to make you think you have a CCJ?Debt is not the be all and end all. There is always a solution!0

I didn't receive any court documents....ever.
The DCA told me who I owed money to, and I know I did owe them money, so I acknowledged the debt and start paying it off monthly.
What makes me think I have a CCJ is, when I started paying off the debt, the DCA originally set up the DD for 1 year, not 2 years as we agreed. After 1 year, my bank cancelled the DD. For 2 months they tried to take the money, but obviously the bank had cancelled the DD. It was then that I received a letter from the DCA stating they'd tried to get 2 payments, but couldn't get them authorised. In the letter, there was a line that said something like 'Failure to pay a county court judgement can result in.....' and I can't remember what else was said after that. I just saw the words county court judgement.0 -
hmm... so your second guessing really. They could have applied a CCJ without you filling in the forms, which if you have a CCJ, thats what's happened.
As far as the date it was registered - it sounds like it would have been before you got the letter in July after the failed attempts to collect 2 payments.
The truth of the matter is, your not really going to know unless you check your file, but, I would expect it to be sometime this year (if it is there at all).Debt is not the be all and end all. There is always a solution!0 -
