I find it a good idea to wash pet beds at least once a week so i bought covers for mine as it is easier than washing the whole bedding and getting it dry. use baby powder on dog brush in but brush straight out it will remove dirt and make smell much better, I also use plug in air freshners and burn incenese most people when they visit remark that my house smells nice so must be getting something right. In summer of course I cut back on plug ins and incense and open windows and doors as much as possible, but the mail key is to keep those beds washed at least once a week0
