Ahh Tinyshoes, Your T's mojo will come back soon, mine did:T You're probably feeling a bit down in the dumps over DD at uni, It's probably been rush, rush, rush for weeks getting her ready, and buying stuff to get her sorted out and now its all gone a bit flat, and you have'nt been well :( How is she doing?

Thanks nikkilala, I think you might be right. Out of my three she was the most demanding even at 18 think I might be missing being a mum to her. Thanks for asking, she has had the most amazing week though and sounds really up beat (unlike me!), she was not going out last night so we had a lovely long chat.

Things were full on and her medicine lectures started on wednesday with work to be in friday, even though lots of partying still going on for freshers week. She has even landed herself a saturday morning job in her sport at the club she is going to train at for now, which she is over the moon about. Buses not to bad to get her there, she met everyone thursday and trained yesterday. Lots of people saying she won't be able to keep it up but she is a very determined young lady. Like her mum is when hunting bargains! ;)

And I guess that's why we don't get very many Asda glitches, because they are very quick at putting them right and over the weekend too. Usually best time for T glitches isn't it! ;)

well went to tesco today.....got trouted big time for a blatant overcharge; found by accident. basically, a fridge full of pizzas were placed in the wrong area. the family sized pizza and ordinary sized pizza (same toppings) had SEL labels in the wrong place. but the little descriptions for both were identical and matched the names of the pizzas.

anyway, did a big shop and used quite a few spend and save coupons ;). i was quiate happy with myself at this point. but then i noticed the pizzas went through at a higher price on my receipt.

so off i went to CS...stood my ground and after 45 minutes, i eventually got my DTD. the members of staff had appalling behaviour, but i did not lower myself to their level. i was always polite and didn't cause a scene.

i don't want to reveal too much of the story :p just in case the members of staff are reading this on their iphone whilst on their break. :rotfl:

    if you are, then :hello:.

    how is everyone else today?

I'm not sure about that as think she will be very limited on time, 9 to 5 at med school most days! The nearest supermarket is a Morrisons, couple miles away so I have told her to get the sunday mirror and she shared shopping with someone last week so could do that again. She seemed to think it might be a good idea.

My older DD is at Portsmouth uni and I am always filling her in on the bargains and telling her to go and look in the Ts there but she says it's always too much trouble to go, and she is even in the middle of the city.

Anyway they do well out of me, we can't afford to support them financially as I care for my mum who has terminal cancer but I feel that my bargains go a long way to helping out. Know a couple of friends that buy their offsprings university shopping for them but I'm not sure that does them any favours in learning the true cost of things. But everyone has their way of helping and until I found this site had no idea how cheap things can be bought for with a bit of effort.

And to all those looking for hiding places for their jelly and custard I am too, in a huge cardboard box by the back door at the moment does not look any emptier even though both DDs have gone off with quite a few. Keep the ideas coming! :D
