    Definitely complain!!!!!!!!!!!

How utterly awful. They most certainly do accept them. They are entered into the till as competitor's vouchers.

I would take it as high as you can. They were unnecessarily rude and also grossly misinformed!

    Poor you. :(

I was lucky. I had my free £30 worth of shopping which included two irons. However, they didn't have 71p irons so they substituted for ones £6.xx. Also, I ordered 3 lots of Pilgrims cheese and they substituted that with Pilgrims Choice Vintage sorry to rub it in JumbleJack but these are for the grown up kids in my family) which are more expensive (£4.59). They didn't price match them so I've just rang them and they are sending me the difference and refunding me the delivery charge. I'm very pleased especially as I haven't found anything in the toy and electrical sale and I have 9 little ones to buy for and two babies on the way (not me!).

They are on the Tesco Grocery site. You have to log in then click on home & ents, then on electrical. There are also some reduced toys on there but I haven't had any luck with those. Good luck!

In store they are Tesco 1600W in a blue box. Got 3 last night for friends & family. Can't believe how much money I used to spend on stuff before I finally bit the bullet and accepted that maybe my mum had a point and this site could be useful. I hate to admit it but mum was right :o

Well issyc. You have inspired me to buy a ridiculous amount of 40p and 71p irons online to bring my order up to £50. It will mean that I get £10 of groceries for just the price of delivery. I may even get an iron too!!

Needless to say, pilgrims is now on my list.

    Thanks for the idea!

Do I go to T's tonight or not. My extra store is 40mins away. I never go and have been twice in 1 week. OOOO I really want to go but I am sooo tired. I have been arguing with myself all day about this but if there are no bargains I will be disappointed lol. All I am really after is a lumie clock. An E-Reader would be nice but not essential and maybe a sat nav for DD.

I don't think there were any cheap e-readers in the recent electrical sale. However, Amazon have just announced a new range of Kindles so chances are the old ones may end up reduced.

I hope you get lucky and that they substitute if they are not available. I tried to get the Tangled hair brush set for 80p for two of my little ones but have had no luck with these or any of the toys.

To be honest, I don't think I would order "a ridiculous amount" in case the person doing the picking is mean spirited!
  • Does anyone have any luck up in the north west? Im still a bit of a noob (but dedicated) to the world of Mr T glitches and deals. I've just searched and I have 3 extra stores within a 15mile radius lol!
