Well i've had a quiet week as i've been visiting my home town of Mexborough. Whilst there I went to the T's at W@th. Not a thing to be found... We Northerners are good at finding stuff lol!

Anyway I decided on a trip out yesterday at a couple of my local stores. Got really lucky, I found four each of the Sony SDHC cards and the casserole dishes (I was with my Mum and she took two and I've got one for my daughter and myself) so was feeling pleased with myself.

I also found some of the socks that scan at 4p but as my store doesn't have a self scan I took a pair to customer service to get them checked. I got trouted :( the assistant said she couldn't sell me the socks, so I assumed they were 4p. I said ok and picked them back up, she asked me what I was going to do with them and rather than making a fuss I gave her them back and walked off.

Didn't think anymore of it until i'm going through the self service checkout and theres a bit of a commotion and the same girl starts shouting and pushing through the line of waiting customers. She gets to me and says "are you trying to buy items that are scanning at 4p?" Everyone is looking at me so I turn to her and simply said "yeah" and waited for her next move. She turned to the assistant and told her not to serve me while she went to get the manager. I immediately tried to finalize my sale so they couldn't do anything. I've been looking for the SDHC cards everywhere and didn't want to lose them. (They scan at £1.30)

Then disaster strikes and the till asks for authorization and i'm stopped in my tracks and can't finalize the sale. Everyone still looking at me (which doesn't bother me but my poor mother is getting upset) Then trout comes back and said she can't find the manager so just to serve me as she is absolutely fed up of this!! She didn't address me at all, just the assistant who was manning self service.

I want to use this store a lot as it is my local, otherwise I would have been kicking up a fuss at how I was treated. Technically yes I was buying more 4p socks, but they were not the same as the ones I had had price checked so I had no idea the twin packs in my trolley would also scan at 4p;)

By the way, i'm always lovely with SA's I had been very polite and when I'd originally walked away I had thanked her so god knows what made her turn into a screeching demon!

Trust it to happen when I had the items I really want!

Take no notice, its nearing halloween and she'd probably had a nasty experience with her broom handle whilst practicing her riding technique the evening before. ;)

    what a dilemma,
Have only just caught up on this thread after a week away from mse (partly because of a visit to FIL and partly because OH is p'd off with my shopping addiction) I think I've managed to write all the stuff to look out for in my notebook but whats the deal please with the lasagne sheets ?
Have been suffering withdrawal as not been to Ts for 10 days and having read how well so many have done and missing the TCO and smarties etc I NEED a bargain.
OH asked what I would like to do on my Birthday (today) dare I suggest a shopping trip when he gets up in the morning hmmmm Well he did ask and offered to take me out and it would make my birthday money go further :D and it is my day :D and I've been good and not asked for a lift to Ts for 10 days :D and ....... wonder how many reasons I can think of in the next 8 hours.
Oh dear maybe I need help with my addiction, does anyone else have dreams of Ts shopping trips ?

Happy birthday...........hope you get some birthdays treats/bargains! ;):)

It's not the lack of 'prose' but rather the lies they told

see....www.dontbuythesun.co.uk or ask anyone from Liverpool how those lies made the whole City feel.

Not even a voucher off T's would make me buy it.....not even to light my BBQ !

Nothing personal, but can we keep this sort of politics off this thread? Politics always ends up dividing people and causing problems. Much nicer we are all happy here. :D

sorry bit of a random question for the +11 stalwarts..
    regarding the forthcoming clubcard vouchers..
If I had £20 worth and doubled it to £40 to spend instore then bought something for £40,then also used 2moros 5 off 40 sun voucher..
If I returned the item for a refund, would I get £40 refund onto a gift card?
    thx

That is wayyyyy too difficult for me but be aware that you can triple clubcard vouchers for other stuff such as hotels etc.

I got hotels vouchers when they were 4x clubcard value but they had to be used by 31st Oct & booked two weeks in advance I knew I won't be fully recovered by this weekend to go away so reluctantly had to send them back to be converted back into clubcard points. When I'm ready I should be able to get 3x the value

Here is the link so you can see what else you can get

BTW I see what you were trying to do getting the £5 ;)

Yes I'm sorry I wrote something, the other comment hurt me and I wrote back in defence without thinking.

I also think we should keep on topic so it won't happen again, I'll just silently seethe :o

Oh and btw FK... you are still an amateur! PS I picked up a couple of those battery chargers up, thanks for pointing them out to me :T

Thanks to this thread and all the other tesco deals my Husband has now banned me from shopping. All my cupboards and drawers were bursting full of all the glitches. I even have 1 full cupboard dedicated just to candles and another one dedicated to the fruit buttons for my kids lunch boxes. In a way I can see his point. I am now on day 10 of my shopping ban and I am just about surviving. I am really annoyed though as he goes to tescos late at night for the shopping and buys all the whoopsies so he has hardly spent a penny either since this started. My ban is only until 1st December when I can become a happy shopper again but at this rate he is going to cut my shopping budget in half. help! Has anyone else been getting grief from their partners about all the shopping? :(

    Yes me !
I don't drive and OH waits in the car. I try to be quick but half hour visits usually take an hour + and our v small house is at bursting point without taking into account bargains.
frustrated in the fens thats me. Havn't been to Ts in 10 days  but todays my Birthday so how can he refuse :D
