My local still has the pirate keyring @ 10p each but also a 3 for 2 offer ... so 3 keyrings for 20p.

Must have missed this somewhere between banter ( not complaining). Could you please give details or link, or pic?
    Thanks
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

Vouchers for other supermarkets at T

I phoned T CS tonight to see if they took the new £5 off £40 spend that comes with APG & to double check they took £5 off £30 spend at Aldi , lady on the phone said think we've stopped taking these hold on I'll double check. Sounded like she was on a computer came back saying your ok till the 31st Oct cause were stop taking them after that. Now I know this may be T Flannel but just thought I would share

Not just t's flannel i'm afraid. I was at cs at local today and sa came over to tell staff on cs that after 31st oct they would no longer be accepting other stores vouchers. I asked if this would be all stores and all vouchers and he confirmed it would. I asked why and he said it was because they were now doing the price drop offer instead. not exactly a great swap!

  • Just finished my first big Mr T visit since last Friday, done pretty well will report in full later.

Very angry though, as they wouldn't let me use self scan and had to go through tills. SA let all the 1p items go through until it got to the 8p casserole dishes and the refused to sell them. I complained to the duty manager but the wouldn't budge and refused to sell

Anybody got some advice on this issue? Would really appreciate it

go back and try again..... :)

run through SS checkouts and pay as quick as you can.. they cant do anything once youve paid...

or find a young diss-interested male/female checkout guy, give him your biggest smile and distract him with something. :) xx

Just a s heads up my local store was advertising for temporary staff. I applied and have got an interview on Monday!
That's a stroke of luck....especially as you are armchair bound at the moment according to a post you made a few hours ago. What type of job are you going for? I think you would be ideal at patrolling the store (obviously on a mobility scooter if necessary)checking the sel's so no-one gets any DTD's or else assisting the poor if they lose their signal on their i phones ;)
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Too late for that they've already taken them off me and cleared the shelves :(

    Thanks for the advice though

I had a similar experience the other day. Went through SS and the stupid till kept piping up about replacing items in the baggage area when everything was there. The SA came over and looked at the screen, noticed a couple of penny items and 4 rolls of 20p gift wrap and refused to sell them. First she said only 3 promo items per customer, then when I challenged that, she said' 'I'm only going to let you have one.'
She was really rude and I complained to CS, who got the till supervisor over. He then let me have 3 of each, but they took the rest off the shelf. All this while folk were filling their trolleys with 20+ items in the £1 sale.

I don't think there's much you can do; I considered myself lucky that I got 1p items at all as I've read on here about people being refused them a few times.
  • And sadly my local doesn't seem to employ the disinterested young SA types we all like - only middle aged trouts on the tills. :(
