well no 1p sausage rolls, lots of caserole dishes so i picked up another 2 :) christmas is coming after all lol :) no 3p wrapping paper but there was some silver patterend stuff with a gift tag reduced from £2.00 to 37p so picked up a couple of them. No cheap pasta sauces but did manage to get some 17p lasagne sheets, cant believe the tesco value ones are now 39p! totally forgot about the pringles though and shower gel :( space for the philips head phones for £2.00 but none on shelf

Could anyone give me abit more info on the saucepans please, are they in a box? do we know the barcode and are they 3x saucepans? or 2 saucepans and a frying pan (sorry for all the questions) thanks :)
If my memory is correct... it was 2 saucepans with lids and a frying pan...bc ending 1010.

I'm really, really dissapointed in some of the responses to the things I've posted. As soon as I try to open an open discussion,(on a supposedly discussion thread) on things that I think need to be discussed I'm met with the folded arms, WI, Norah Batty type responses. This may be way off the mark but what you have got to realise is that in cold type your language, time of postings, regularity of postings can stereotype. I have some expertise in this area but may have misread. For that I am sorry but it was well intentioned in order to get people to think about more than material gain at the expense of others

so where would you like the wedding wrapping paper post to be then?! in the 1p T thread which is also in the gone section? Or does it deserve a grabbit thread on it's own?

we usually just keep all the good offers together in here so everyone who follows this thread and not many others can benefit... (atm I have time to read other threads too, I won't when I start full time job again and I'll stay only here...) There aren't many NEW finds posted EXCLUSIVELY here... and even then if it's really good it's reposted somewhere else as well...

I really don't see your point anymore...

feel free to repost it anywhere you like, I'm sure the OP won't mind!

if you so obviously are against this thread why do you bother posting and making it even longer and "harder to spot the bargains"?!

For goodness sake please know that I am not against this thread. What I am against is people from this thread complaining that grabbits from the main thread are being moved and then at the same time posting new grabbits on an expired thread (ignoring the main thread). It's pure hypocrisy

Yet another one who has found herself agreeing with SirBrainy for probably the first time ;)

Well I have some news for Cocoloco - our newly refurbished local has a scanner  And it works :eek: Try down the soup/sauces aisle.

Hate the layout of the store now as the non-food section is a lot smaller plus all the aisles now lead down to the tills so a lot harder to check the SELs without staff noticing.

Got my sledge today for DS so you can sleep sound at night knowing that it won't now snow this winter. Apart from that a very very boring Tuesday and not a glitch in sight.

Oh and for those who have been buying the Auntys Creme Brulee - check the date. I got 3 a few days ago and gave one to my mum. She saw them today and decided to grab a couple more only to find them months out of date. All she got was a straight up refund as well, no DTD or apology. The last time I bought something out of date I was given a money card.

    Artha, you posted:
"Obviously I can't be sure and I apologise in advance if I,m wrong, but, using the supposed needs of the poor to promote self interest to maintain the cosy status quo of a few individuals is a bit shallow IMHO. To get access quickly to some of the deals on here you have to be in the know of where, quite illogically, certain immediate uncertain grabbits are posted, have an iphone or similar to browse while you are in Tescos, have a laptop to browse at leisure whilst exchanging irrelevant (to the poor) chit chat and how are you my dear stuff, and a reliable car with plenty of fuel to whizz around various stores spending money upfront to secure a years supply of goods. That is not the profile of someone who is desperate to make ends meet. Many people who really need the bargains just don't have the means to access them as posted here."
    End of quote.

To my knowledge, nobody here is "using the needs of the poor to promote self interest." We are a nice group of people on here who welcome new people. Most of us have got fed up with Tesco Grabbits being moved from the main Grabbit board and a poll was suggested. That is all. I am sure that i speak for the majority of users, we don't want grief, we want our opinions to be heard, we want to grab a bargain, we want to help others and we want a laugh as well. Please stay here and join in and see how you feel. x

sorry dont have time to read back but seen this on AOL news -headline reads Tesco hikes prices before dropping them (god knows where htey've been if thats them just reporting it now????) but reading through the comments seen this post -

Tesco in Yiewsley, Middx Price dropped their deep filled pies from £3.00 to £2.00 - great until I got home and realised I had been charged £3.00 each... Same went for the tins of mini hotdogs £1.98 down to £1.00 and I was chaged £1.98 at till - what made it worse was there was only half a tin full.. they just lost my custom completely and I spent at least £200.00 every week with them.. so stick that Tesco.. You have ripped me off one too many times.

maybe one to try if you are heading to T's and want to try for DTD ( doubt the poster hasnt heard of DTD!) hope i've not posted in the wrong thread but i've given up the will to live wondering where to post things!!!

In the grabbit while you can? I think we are all working towards the same point/goal but as someone who has worked their whole life with an element of order/categorisation in a very rewarding intellectual career I find it amazing that something as simple as this cannot be solved. I think I may be a bit of a Doc Martin in this respect for those who get the connection. Apologies to those who don't

Ellingham is a gruff man, completely lacking in social skills. His cold, abrasive manner offends many of the villagers and leads to frequent misunderstandings. He seems to be short tempered and lacking in a bedside manner
