thank you!
i'm at manchester.
which medical school is your daughter at?
Think you asked before but everything moves so fast on here.
She is at Keele so not too far from you. I think if my memory is right that as it's a fairly new medical school that the first graduates from Keele graduated with Manchester degrees until Keele got the go ahead to call it their own, (not sure what the official way of saying that is but think certain standards have to be reached).
She made me laugh in the week as she said she keeps falling asleep in lectures as they turn the lights down and asked me why they do that!! :rotfl:I have no idea so could not help her on that one. So she is pleased she has picked a course with PBL and early hands on if you know what I mean.
Sorry everyone going loads off topic to karlie88, back to the topic of Ts!!!!
Found the Andrex 12 packs for £2.55 in my Extra, SEL of 87p for the Impulse Trio but no stock and saw someone getting DTD on 4 Ts Pilsner glasses, no more details on that but I'm sure someone will figure it out.0 -

of course you said before! apologies!
lol at the sleeping! it's inevitable; especially when you get the odd boring lecture. :rotfl:
but i can answer your question! it's basically to improve the contrast of the slides/projection on the screen for the audience. if you turn down the lights, you can see the text and images/diagrams a lot clearer.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

It's grey and rainy here and I've got another interview today... It's hard as I still have to give my best but I really really want the other job...However I have no guarantee I'll get it and I need a job so I still need to "pretend" the other one is not on the table and get all options secured for now... life is hard...
On the good side I decided to drive there as I still have my car(trying to sell it for ages but noone seems to be interested and it's such a good car!) and it's the fastest way to get there PLUS two new Ts to explore in the area
Tomorrow I have yet another first stage interview... I'm now tired of it but have to keep going... I want to have a job by the end of the month...
I hope all of you have a great day! (be it at T or not...)
Good luck czerniacha, on your next 2 interviews and 2 new Ts!0 -
What a non productive day bargain wise.
Went to Lidl for the weekend offers but they only had mussels in a wine sauce for £1. Bought one to try for tomorrow night with some crusty bread and wine. I've never had em, neither has hubby. Hope I don't gag. I see em being used on masterchef all the time but the look of them just puts me off.
Went to an Express, a regular and an Extra store but only bought reduced chicken legs.
Just nipped into the Extra on my way home for some peas (having rib eye steak, egg n chips for supper... Needs peas though) and realised I left my purse in my casual bag, ggrr!!!
Hopefully tomorrow will produce better results.
I am now looking forward to home comforts having been perishing all day.
I am having a brew and have changed into cosy attire. Lovin my new slippers (thanks mum). Gonna enjoy my tea and watch x factor with the kids. Will wake up hopefully fit for Tesco escapades.
Who do you reckon is gonna be out tonight? Two shoes? Soldier dude? Tattoo bottom? Irish girl to win this year!!!! I said so at her audition and am sticking to it.
