Even that won't work and it's not from trying! The whoopsie labels are actually longer barcodes than normal. What they have in the numbers is the original barcode of the item plus at the end is the reduced price. This means that even going through an SS till you will get caught unless you happen to peel a label off an identical item that is priced cheaper in which case why wouldn't you have just taken the cheaper item?

If you look at your receipt in Ts you'll see the proper item description then underneath (if memory serves) it says reduced and then the reduced price. This means that when you scan the item at a normal till the SA will be able to see the pack of sirloin steaks she's just scanned coming up as a pack of jaffa cakes. Same goes for the SS tills. Each item is registered on the system to have a certain weight so when you put the item on the scales (bag packing area) it knows if you're trying to fiddle the till so again, if you take a jaffa cake whoopsie label and stick it on a crate of beer, the till will alert the SA.

Moral of the story - whoopsies are generally a good enough bargain without resorting to theft!

That's right ,because I bought some whoopsied flowers and self scanned them and the bleeper thing went off for assistance as they came up as a pineapple and didnt weigh as much!!!!!
