Dealing with Provident before Bankruptcy

Hi
Me and DH have finally got the ball rolling with our finances and through CCCS advice have decided for me to go bankrupt and for DH to do a DRO. One of the problems im facing is with Provident, all the other creditors are happy to accept the £1 a month token payment but Provident are being quite pushy and as they come to the door every week, they are demanding more money and can be quite confrontational. Is there a way I can stop them coming to my house and pay them monthly by some other means, rather than cash?
I was told by the agent yesterday that she was told that she wasn't to leave until I had paid £x and as I stuck to my guns, she said ive to expect the manager knocking on my door and phoning me.
DH's DRO will obviously go through soon but my Bankruptcy may take some time as I have to try and raise the funds from somewhere, so I really need to get Provident to stop coming round every week, as it can be quite stressful when they are knocking on my door and demanding more money. Phone calls and letters I can deal with.
Thanks

Dear Sirs,
Please be advised that I will only communicate with you in writing. I have noted your repeated attempts to contact me over the past few weeks and these have been duly logged by time and date.
Furthermore, should it be your intention to arrange a “doorstep visit”, please be advised that under OFT rules, you can only visit me at my home if you make an appointment and I have no wish to make such an appointment with you.
There is an implied license under English Common Law for people to be able to visit me on my property without express permission; the postman and people asking for directions etc (Armstrong v Sheppard & Short Ltd [1959] 2 QB 384. per Lord Evershed M.R.). Therefore take note that I revoke license under Common Law for you, or your representatives to visit me at my property and, if you do so, you will be liable to damages for a tort of trespass and action will be taken, including but not limited to, police attendance.
Yours faithfully,
(type don't sign)
We ask you to type signature because creditors like to use it to imprint your signture on documents you have never signed!
You can adapt the letter to suit your circumstances and mention your CCCS Ref No.
In the meanwhile if creditors ring or write tell them your speaking to a debt advice charity and will be in touch soon.
Best Wishes

Quick questions, up to now is that how Provident have been collecting their money and what does it say in your agreement with them.0

When you signed the loan agreement with Provident you DID sign a permission for them to come to your home to talk to you about FUTURE loans. This consent can be withdrawn at any time. There was no permission asked for, or signed for, to come to your door to collect, because of the type of loan company Provident is... a 'doorstep' company.
Speaking as an agent who does the job properly, and helps customers find a way out of sticky spots, lends responsibly, and representative of the vast majority of Providents public face, i can only feel embarassed at the way your area team are handling the situation.
The letter above is a good idea. From my own personal experience i would also like to suggest that if your bankruptcy is a long way off, go talk to the Citizens Advice Bureau. I know for a fact that if Provident get a letter from them, or even a sniff that they are involved, they will back off. Provident agents/managers are not allowed to approach customers that have recieved free money advice where the advice has been not to pay.
The CAB might buy you the breathing space you need until your bankruptcy kicks in.0 -
The best thing you can do is just tell them you don't have the money and that you're going Bankrupt in the next few weeks. I tld them that and they just left me alone.0
