I see Jack Straw has called ambulance chasers "parasites". A statement from a politician that is absolutely true!0

Hi There, Do you mind posting me the e-mail address for the claims regulations? This same thing has just happened to me, They caught me at a bad time and for some reason I was stupid enough to go through with it, even although i am aware of all these things, brain washed is the only way i can discribe what they have done to me. If you could pass it on it would be much appriciated.0

Oh yes they do. That is grounds for complaint in itself. This is after she called them on Monday and was told to lie about the date she was called by Tucan claims so she would be within the 14 days cooling off period! She was appalled at this advice.
Oh dear. Incitement to commit fraud - hardly consistent with the FSA's first principle ("A firm must conduct its business with integrity").
I suggest a fax to Marks & Spencer Financial Services plc on 01244 686 258 complaining on both points would be a good move.0 -
MOJ contact details are here.
Interestingly Tucan Claims appears on the FSA's list of unauthorised firms.0 -
After reading loads on Tucan Claims on this Forum I realised that its almost impossible to get money back from them, so I am concentrating on getting the £249.99 back from M&S. I called the Financial Ombudsman's office and I explained my Mums experience to her.She was very nice and offered to call my Mum, get all the details she needed and write to M&S on her behalf. Amazingly, she called my Mum and has now taken up her case for her. I will post again when there is any response from M&S.0

Hi There, I would be keen if you could keep me posted on your progress with Tucan Claims as i am in the same boat as yourself. to cut a v.long story short, i cancelled this 2 days after they took the money from my account (after having an extremly bad morning) as my creditcard company had already authorised the payment & it was to late to stop this processing.
Finally Tucan told me to cancel i had to e-mail or write to them & my money would be refunded after 30days by cheque (the saying 'The Cheques in the post' springs to mind in this situation I imagine) It will be a week tomorrow since these 30 days will be up and i'm not holding my breath. I am currently writing draft letters to send to the MOJ. Is the Financial Ombudsman the other one that could help? Wasn't sure whether to send Tucan another e-mail enquring where my cheque was and that i would be contacting these people if they didn't pay, or is it really worth it? My credit card company said i could file a disputes claim as i have a case to get that money as i cancelled within the 14 days, but i don't know whether they'll get anywhere either.....0 -
FOS has no jurisdiction over ambulance chasing scum like this.
However, you SHOULD complain to the Ministry of Justice - emai to info@claimsregulation.gov.uk
You should also tell your credit card company that you want to claim the payment back from them in accordance with your rights under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 74.0
