It's a shame that you accepted the wine. You could have declined it and they would have had to honour your decision.
It was all a bit of a kerfuffle, two lovely ladies in their twilight years were staggering from the back of a truck with 42 bottles of wine in carrier bags.

I was just glad to get the embarassment over, they kept saying "You must be having a lovely party"... I couldn't tell them it was just for us! :rotfl:

Is it possible for you to return the wine to your local store and get a refund??
Yep, our friend the Distance Selling Regulations say I've got 10 working days to claim a full refund, and I only need to make the good available for collection to them. I don't have to return them.
I'm sure you've spotted the punchline... We've drank some of the goods.
    Oops.
Since it is £55 we have been bilked out of, I'm tempted to replace the bottles, at full price, and arrange to have them returned. Then get wines of a similar quality from Tesco under their 35% offer, which runs up to 12 and 15th May.

Yes, I'd replace the bottle and return the whole lot. £55 is a lot of money, but I would ring them and be curtious and explain what had happened. You could tell them that you are a regular customer and this was the first time you had tried their online service, to get the sympathy vote.

    Let us know the outcome.

I've just received my credit card statement and was confused because there were two transactions on it from Asda. One was the £4.25 home delivery refund, the other was for £9.77 and I was unable to work this one out as I had ordered 28 bottles of wine (see Post 4&5 on this thread).

So I've just logged into the Asda website and looked at my transaction.

    It says

    Substitutions
    BANROCK STATION RED 1 £2.76
    BANROCK STATION RED 1 £2.76
    Sub Total £5.52
    Total Discounts £0.00
    Total Delivery £4.25
    Order Adjustments £0.00
    Total £9.77

So, it would appear that I have had 28 bottles of wine for £5.52

    What should I do??
