tesco deals and mfi tokens

Hi there. I don't know if anyone can help me here. We have been saving our Tesco deals for a MFI kitchen. MFI are no longer accepting the vouchers from 30 April, so our next lot that we get in February will be the last we can use for them. The ones I have already exchanged just have our surname on. Could we also use deals from my brother-in-law and mother-in-law who have the same surname? If MFI just accept them as a form of payment, is there anyway that it would be traced back that they are not our vouchers? All it says is that they must be in the name of the purchaser, which technically it would be, but I am afraid to pay them face value for theirs and then convert to MFI tokens, just in case MFI won't accept them and we are stuck with them, or MFI accept them and Tescos return them when they are processed! Does anybody have any idea if they would be accepted as long as they all say "smith"? all advice appreciated, thanks

    questions

Do you all have the same surname??

If not, last time I was in mfi, I asked the same question and they said to me, as long as the person who's vouchers they are come with you then thats ok, but things could of changed from then. My advice would be to ring your store and just say your MIL and BIL want to donate them for a wedding present or something, can I use them as they will be in a different name (thats if they are) are can you not split the order up so with your ones you buy half your cupboards with MIL you buy the other half and BIL you buy the accesories, there is so many ways you can get round it, it just depends on how strict your mfi store is, I'm sure some people have sucess stories and I'm sure others don't but a phone call won't hurt!!
  • they only print the surname on so as far as they are concerned ,they are all yours.
They only take a maximum of 15 vouchers per transaction though.

    hi
i have two accounts same surname and have just used mine yesterday
for a dishwasher, this is the third time within a year and have never had
any problems. Was talking to the guy who said they are pulling out since they
are losing money on taking the vouchers.
The way he was talking was that they don't get face value for the vouchers
since tesco assume we only use the voucher for about 20% of the order
    how wrong can they be

Buy the vouchers off your Brother at face value, then YOU transfer them into Deals vouchers - the Deals vouchers should then be sent to YOU with YOUR name on :D

My DP (different surname to me) has his own Clubcard and I transfered his Clubcard vouchers into 'Deals' vouchers, they arrived with MY name on them.

    Good Luck

you dont have to pay for the order in 1 go you can keep popping in everyday as long as it paid in full before delivery..
