Malt Loaf?

I bought something packaged as malt loaf today but when I went to have a slice its nothing like I expected - I was imagining fruity, sticky and sweet-like good old soreen but this is just dark bread - not like german rye or granary though but no fruit, only slightly sweet but dry. Even though it was yellow stickered I don't want to bin it - any ideas what I can do with it?? Its really not nice!

Why not try making it into a fruity bread pudding type thing

Have you tried toasting it with butter spread on after?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
