Aktiv Kapitol...another query

Hi guys
I've read through quite a lot of the prev very long thread, and apologies if this has been covered

I am currently looking into remortgaging and have done a few searches to check all is ok, I had some debt from approx 10 years ago, which has been long time barred...a situation I am currently sorting with the relevant debt collection letters I keep recieving

To the point, I found a search made by Aktiv Kapitol stating the reason was for outstanding debt on Equifax...Experian appears to be ok though with searches from Lowell but not stating the reason for search !
Obviously this will have a huge effect on my chances of getting the loan/mortgage
I am wondering what the legal remifications are of them making such a search for a time barred debt, and what I can do to have the search removed from my file ?
Any help/advice would be well received

What specifically does the search say? If its not a credit application search then you should be fine.
If the actual credit account doesn't appear then its unlikely that it is a search that any other potential lender would see and unlikely to have any impact of your chance of getting new credit.
