Got everything relisted on Ebay, and a couple of new ones done, but :eek::eek: I think I'm running out of things to sell!!:eek::eek:

I'm sure if I had another proper look around the flat I could find some more, but I will get the last 2 Ebay boxes empty first! They are only the sort of boxes you take from Tesco from the empty fruit and veg, and neither of them are full. So not too much left really. Oh, and a few clothes in a suitcase too.

Not all that long ago we had several huuuuuuge boxes, and several bags, and the suitcase was so full of clothes to sell that my OH had to sit on it while I zipped it up! It's so refreshing to be able to see the progress, and that Ebay is now confined to a couple of stacked boxes in the cupboard, rather than taking over our home. :D:D
And of course the extra money has been fab as well.

Now I just have to shift the baby clothes we don't need. Ebay generally isn't great once postage costs are taken into account. Not had much luck on the local Facebook selling pages as they get too busy and some posts get lost. Bootfairs have stopped here. Just need a baby and childrens table sale to come along locally, but the last one was full and they already had a long waiting list, and they don't seem to happen all that often :(

have you tried netmums.com - free to advertise

and NCT nearly new sales ? they take 30% though.
  • Wow - you guys have all been very busy ebaying this weekend. I thought about having a go since it was free listings but was boring and spent all day doing some work instead since my deadline is soon! What kind of things do you all sell? And is it worth the time and effort to sell and wrap and post things like old clothes (I would usually just take these to the charity shop)??

Nicky Noo Na - I would say it is worth the effort, even if a top sells for 99p, so long as your postage is calculated right so you cover your costs, then even all those little amounts can really add up.
Saying that though I sold lots when I was on Maternity Leave, and now I only work part time, so I have the time (not that it ever really feels like it!!) to do the listing and packing etc.

I used to take old clothes to the charity shop, but I wouldn't think of it now. I know that sounds really selfish, but the money is important for my family at the moment, so I have to go with the old 'Charity begins at Home' line. I volunteer my time for a couple of local charities instead. (Not that everyone should be obliged to do anything for charities in my opinion, in case that's how I came across just then!!)

In regards to what to sell - my answer would be ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!
It never fails to amaze me sometimes what people will buy, so it really is worth a try. Not much leaves my home not packed in brown paper (well, wallpaper actually that I've picked up for pennies at bootfairs!! :D ) even if I've only made a small amount on it!!

Thanks Aesop, I've not tried Netmums, will have a lookie :)

    Ooooh, welldone Nat!

I've just remembered I've had 2 lots of LVs from Pinecone so adding £6. Keep forgetting to add them to my total as they have ended up in the bottom of my bag from when I've picked up the post on the way out the door and opened it on the bus!! :D
