    First October update from me: My payment I expected last month arrived in my account yesterday so that, along with a few other bits'n'bobs gives me a £46.62 head start to the month!
  • And I'm off ;

    got my first christmas pressie Had £15 budget and spent £4
    weekly shop £50 allowance spent £35.09 :j will log £10 as may have forgotten something or run out before the weeks up

    I did count my penny jar but before I could bank it No 3 child pleaded poverty for the weekend :(:( not seeing this as loss but just not a gain

    Inspired by Jakes mum Xmas spreadsheet done, mild heartattack at the total and pledge to save on All pressies.... Will bank every penny saved as I normally find that cash from somewhere !!!!

    Thanks everyone

    Helloooo :D

    More payments came in from ebay so another £5.57 nearer the total :D :j: also managed to get 2 x the quality street tins tonight, they were reduced to £4.50 and with the extra £1 off from their instore mag, I got each tin for £3.50 instead of £9.00 odd. As I would have bought the tins anyway for christmas I make that a saving of £11 :D woohoo!

  • Random letter arrived addressed to Hubby (and his Dad as trustee) stating the rate of interest was changing on his child savings account! As he's 33 we were a tad surprised :rotfl::rotfl: Anywho, went into the branch to find out more and turns out there is £14.20 in the account which has been built up over the last 20 years! Parking cost us 20p so thats a nice round £14 added to my total this month.

    In other brilliant news, Hubby then sold his motorbike tonight :j:j:jHe's been off work for 4 months after a major accident on the bike which put him in hospital for 2 months, so I'm thrilled its gone. It will really help as we have been struggling on sick pay so will put a bit of a float in the bank account, put some away to cover xmas and then pay the rest off debts. Not gonna count this as part of my total for the month though as I find it really motivating to have a target to aim for.
