Velux and solar PV Panels

I'm looking at converting my loft before installing the solar PV system and in my minds eye I have a couple of solar panels missing/replaced with Velux roof windows.
I originally considered a solar PV array comprising two rows of 8 panels with panel 3 and 6 on the second row being replaced with Velux M08 windows (they're 78cm wide). From this I am a little concerned about the distance from a roof window that a solar panel could be installed. I read somewhere that the panels had to be installed at least 30cm from the edge of the roof but I'm hoping that this isn't the case with roof windows and that 11cm would be sufficient
Can anybody assist me with this.
Thanks
F.

Freepost if you would care to send me a pm with your email address I'll send you some pictures of how they did my roof, roughly you can get virtually within touching distance of the sides but looks like they leave a full tile below, I'm at work all night but I can get back to you tomorrow if that helps.0
