High Street Ethical shopping

Hi All
I'm looking for information about where on the high street one can shop for animal friendly cosmetics toiletries etc which aren't too pricey and are PETA and BAUV (little bunny printed on packaging) approved. I'm aware of Superdrug and Marks & Spencers but does anyone know of anymore shops?
Thanks
Carol

The Co-Op own brand is BUAV approved AFAIK. I am currently using their bleach and that is also BUAV approved, so probably all toiletries and household goods are

Same here. I use own brand Co-Op and own brand Superdrug. Sainsburys own toiletries (not sure about cleaning products but check the BUAV website) have very recently been approved but they've not updated their packaging to reflect this yet. Another very good brand that's BUAV approved is 'Astonish' and I use mnay of their excellent value items. They're also stocked by mnay of the 'Pound' type shops too. Also, Wilkinson stock a range called 'Planet Clean' which is Vegan Society approved and not tested on animals.0

BUAV and PETA are disgusting, akin-to-terrorist organisations. I am really hoping an 'ethical' mark that's actually ethical will come along soon!
In terms of ethical high street retailers, I'd recommend the Co-op for sure. As I understand it, M&S also treat their staff overseas quite well too, if that's the kind of thing you were also considering under 'ethical'. For makeup, you could check out brands such as UNE, Weleda...they can often be found in supermarkets and pharmacies
