Purpose of the board is in part to educate.
yes. However, it has also generated a class of individual who look to shirk responsibility and look for loopholes to get out of genuine and fair contracts.
Clearly, the OP and his sales rep "friend" have heard of these dodgy (or even scam) claims companies that put in false complaints to generate up front payments (or the other trend is to say no up front payments but then after a month or two, say they have a case but then introduce the charge required to take it forward after their initial research shows they have a case).
The board isnt to blame . It is just attracting an unpleasant set of individuals that already exist in society today. Someone has the excellent sig on here that says along the lines of that we have spent years teaching people their rights but not their responsibilities.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
I'll go elsewhere for advice thanks after some of the daft responses on this "helpful" board. Bye.0

..... and I'm sure (and hope) you will find a nice one that is full of willing posters to build up your hopes and expectations of pay outs by the evil Northern Rock because of their criminal acts with 'together mortgages'.
BUT unfortunately they will be as wrong as your friend the FA and the answer you are looking for may well end up costing you money!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I'm not looking to hear the "right" advice nor pay for it, but some of the responses on this board have been pathetic.
I just asked a question and it seems i'm a "class of individual who look to shirk responsibility".
Please close this thread. Like i said. I'll go elsewhere for some friendly advice. Not here.0 -

Just ignore the trolls. Plenty of sound advice on this board.0 -
"this true?"
"no it isn't"
May not be friendly (I give up my time on here in an effort to helpful rather than friendly) but it is correct !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
