I reckon I could as well. I am not buying it myself though. Thought it was a fair deal for newbies and it AMD instead of shmintel so pointed it out. Sorry.

    Hi,

Apart from the DELL system which I'm not keen on IE 0870 support. Can't purchase without a monitor/change the system how I'd like Etc - is there any other good deals around at the mo.

Would I have to source from lots of different suppliers to build one myself and is it really going to save me a lot of money compared to some of the 'Deals' around.

There often appears to be times when deals come along that you would be hard pushed to beat on price even if you went to the trouble of self build.

I need a new machine desperately. it needs to be 512 ram, 2600 +, 120 Gb HD, Separate graphicsboard(Not shared) TFT, Dvd Writer, Etc and can do with ANY help on this subject.

    Hi Rizla,

I know you're not keen on Dell, but this seems really cheap (posted by Goat the other day):

    Dimension 3000 / 17INCH TFT / 80 H/D 1024 RAM ONLY £363

    Intel® Pentium® 4 processor (2.80GHz, 533fsb, 1MB cache)
    1024MB Dual Channel DDR333 (2x512MB)
    80GB IDE (7,200rpm) Hard Drive
FP / MG 17in (E173FP) TCO99 Value Midnight Grey Flat Panel

    E-value code DMUK4/D03302B

You can upgrade the hard disk to 160 gb for an extra 70 quid and to DVD writer for 90. I'm tempted to buy one of these myself and I don't really need a new computer! Have managed to resist so far though...

this includes some free delivery / money off things which alledgedly expire today though...

    cheers

I'd recommend https://www.savastore.com myself for the best value systems. Worked out a lot cheaper than dell for the system I wanted.
