Bread question

Options
I've found a wholemeal/white recipe that works well in my BM but all the loaves seem to taste really yeasty. This may be a really obvious question but does that mean I should use less yeast, even tho I'm using what it says in the recipe?
Also, If I want to add seeds to it, do I reduce the amount of flour by the same amount of seeds I am adding? (I'm planning on adding them towards the end so they stay whole).
Many thanks

  • Hi, sorry I cannot really advise about yeast other than to say have you tried another brand?

When you add seeds, there should be no need to reduce the amount of flour (as the seeds don't take up (much) water). However, please be aware that the loaf may not rise quite as much - something about the seeds cutting through the gluten, if I recall.

    Tastes lovely though.

    Regards,

    White.
