childrens skirt/trouser hangers

Hi
Can anyone tell me the best place to buy children's hangers which I can hang trousers and skirts (clip at either end of the hanger etc)

Shops seem to be holding on to theirs and I need to get my dd1's clothes out of storage for her younger sister but have only been able to buy normal t shirt ones etc

Cheaper the better really to keep spending down

Thanks

  • Ikea have nice wooden ones with metal clips in their Bumerang range for 49p each - not specifically for children but adjustable. I bought a couple of each the other day and will pick up more next Ikea trip. Worth a look in Home Bargains or similar, though. I buy their velvet clothes hangers £2.99 for 10 and they're excellent, but haven't really looked at the rest of the range.

    Hello Benson

I've got a cheap moneysaving option to suggest.;)

If you have any basic wire coat hangers, the type you get when you get garments back from the dry cleaners, here's the cheap option.

Put two wooden pegs on the bar of the wire coat hanger. Clip the pegs onto the bar so that the wire coat hanger bar goes through the smallest hole in the peg........nearest the spring.

That leaves the bigger hole for grasping the garment. Using basic wooden pegs like those in the link below, I've just tested the wire coat hanger with wooden pegs. The pegs are supporting the weight of heavy jeans............no problem:cool::

If you've already got the wire coat hangers and wooden pegs, this method won't cost you a penny.
