Right ive ordered copies from the main credit referance, Equifax,Experian and credit call.
Recived credit call back so far to reveal some debts ive got with my ex wife have been settled and yet debt firms are hassling me for money.
Ive done this to get a s.o.a so i can decide on going bankrupt is the right option. Although im with my new partner whos credit is good and would i get a morgage with her? and what are the real risks of going bankrupt?
Thoughts please ?????

You won't get a mortgage with your new partner if you go bankrupt.

Hi
Just because a debt is shown as settled on your credit file doesn't necessarily mean that it has been. So if debt collectors are chasing your for money for these debts you need to get them to prove the amount is still outstanding.
If you are considering bankruptcy you need to get some advice from one of the debt advice charities and have a read of the guides on the bankruptcy section of this forum. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=136
As Beanie says you cannot obtain a mortgage whilst bankrupt and you also won't get accepted for one for several years afterwards.
