Recommended Installers For Quotes ?

Hi

I am currently obtaining some quotes for Solar PV.
Have started off "locally" but unimpressed with the majority (too many double glazing style approaches)

In order to get a comparison, can anyone recommend any of the larger of national installers who have a good reputation I should try for a quote. ?? (e.g. Tesco / Evo etc)

My location is Poole in Dorset

I'm glad this has been asked as I'm in the same situation. Most local companies appear to have only been in business for under 3 years. I have also had quotes from Eon (who I have tosay have answered all the questions I have asked of them) and Tesco (who use a local supplier - and when that person came to the house he could not tell me what the inverter was going to be and was only here 10 mins).

Meanwhile - and still thinking big - as in big well established companies, I rang British Gas. Yes I was expected a horrendously pricey quote and for that they did not disappoint. Completely cobbled together from the photo off google earth they were totally unable to answer the most basic of questions and because I was asking so many questions the guy hung up!!

I also approached Tesco - their 'surveyor' was onsite for approximately 10 minutes too. The price of that quote is the cheapest I have had so far (only had two though!) but I am now having second thoughts as I have started doing more homework on the different panels available (the Tescos quote uses some relatively cheap Sharp ones).

Gmgohara, I would be interested to hear who (locally) you have asked to quote - I'm not a million miles away from you in Eastleigh, Hants. I am happy to share all the installers I am in the process of receiving quotes from.
