Ombudsman time limits
Hiya... after a little advice.
Claiming PPI mis selling from Lloyds TSB and they basically offered me a goodwill payment of £1186 plus interest back in March 2006 which I refused as I reckon I am owed approx 3 grand from paying PPI  but did not take things up with Ombudsman within 6 months of banks offer as stated in their letter. This was due to house move and relationship break down.
Is there a chance that my case will be looked at or am I clutching at straws here?
Thanks for any advice.

I do think that you may well be time barred here.
However you can ask to see what their response will be and if that fails why not go back to Ltsb and accept their offer.0 -

Thanks for reply.
In the event I am tie barred are the bank obliged to offer me the original amount? Plus any payments since inclusive of interest?

They are not obliged to offer you anything but you could sue them in the small claims court citing your case history.
Somehow I do not think it would get as far as a court.0 -
Thanks for your advice.0
