Northern Debt Recovery...scare tactics..help!!

Hi,
I took out a payday loan back in May 2011 with toothfairy finance (it was one of many when I was suffering with mental health problems) I defaulted on this as I have with many payments. I am now trying to get my finances in order. This was passed to Northern Debt Recovery or NDR.
I am struggling to repay all of them as they all want the money at once...I am currently entering into a free agreement with Christians against poverty...(an organisation I strongly recommend to anyone struggling)
I have recieved number of letters/emails from them...where the debt is mounting to over £1500 for a loan that was £400 I have made a number of payments to them...but I have not paid off the full amount. I have recieved a letter on the 23/09/11 which was dated the 19/09/11 and was sent buisiness class post stating they believed i have fraudulently obtained credit from toothfairy and if i was to contact them and make payment they would not take it any further. This letter is threatening police involvment. I am under the impression that if I have committed an offence as serious as fraud surely it should be reported to the authorities and by them requesting payment to make it go away is in fact concealing a crime. Which in itself is illegal. What powers to NDR have...I would rather this go to court and they obtain a CCJ so i can actually handle the repayments that they are trying to enforce on me.
I borrowed the money and i understand i need to pay it back i have no problem with this. But the unfair charges the threatening emails are becoming to much to handle.
I live at home with my parents so do not actually own anything, so can they enter my home and take goods without a court order as they are threatening as the items in my home do not belong to me and the debt is in my name.
They have repeatedly made mistakes in the letters/emails I have recieved...I have also read on the net that they have been struck off and are under investigation by the OFT...so if anybody has any advice it would be greatly recieved.
Thanks

Not an expert, but will try and help where I can.
1. Did you obtain the loan fraudulently? Were you working?
2. They can't take anything without a CCJ and then only if you fail to agree to the terms of it.
3. They can only take what is yours after you fail to pay the CCJ.
I believe there are rules fro debt collection companies and mental health issues, see the sticky at the top of the forum for OFT guidelines.
I would talk to one of the debt collection charities, CCCS or CAB.
Good luck:beer:0 -
Its an empty threat, unless you gave false information or took the loan out knowing you would be unable to pay is the onlyway it would be fraud. To be honest the police wouldnt get involved.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Yes I was working and still am, I didn't give them any fraudulent information. I did try to pay back but they keep adding charges on top of the original loan.0
