Hi MSEs
I've had an idea for a product. How do i go about making money from it? How do I patent it? Is the idea patented or the method?
Thanks

I was just wondering something. Some time ago I was patenting a product and I wanted to get the patent done real cheap.
Is there anyway to get the patent done without the patent company doing a search. the reason I say that is because I had and still have a idea, but donot want to pay silly money.
e.g why would I want to pay for a search when I have done a search myself, and even if they do the search and someone copies me then I have to spend more money sueing someone.
Nobody had or has thought of my idea's, so would like to know how to cheaply patent them.0 -
my OH has a couple of patents, as we run our own company in a very competitive market. Depending on what your idea is, are you sure that a patent is the right way to go?
There are also design marks, which are a bit like trademarks which you can get to protect the design of your product, and like with trademarks you can choose which country(ies) you'd like to register it in initially. I think the cost of this is around £400 for design mark in UK.
Have you spoken to any patent attourneys? they may be willing to offer some free adviceRoad kill 2012: £6.01
