Hello.
I have finally (well 99% certain) made a decision about our remortgage and wondered if you guys out there could give me some 11th hour feedback.
I have a MORTGAGE with Britannia Building society for 89k.
It is in 2 parts -
1 part is 0.75% above base tracker owing 23k
2nd part is fix at 5.09% owing 66k, which will go to SVR OF 4.74% In a few months.
I was really reluctant to lose my 0.75% tracker but Britannia are very poor at new mortgage products for 66k I would need to stay with them.
Ok -
House is worth £215,000
Mortgage amount would be £86,000 in total (as I am planing to pay off approx 2-2.5k off the balance at remortgage stage)
I am planning to go with the HSBC life time tracker at 1.99% above base rate making the current rate 2.49%.
There are no fees, unimited overpaymets etc.
I just wondered if anyone had any other last minute brainwaves before I sign up all the paperwork.
Many thanks
