  • Hi. I am new to this! Just wanted to say a big thank you as I have managed to find a few bargains.
I just wanted to check something. I went this morning and used the new handheld scanners that you take round and shop with. I was thrilled when I found baby born dolls, thomas airport and fisher price animal trains at £3 and £4. But when I went to pay the total on the scanner was £32 and it shot up to £115 :( I queried this but the sa was very rude and said the handheld scanners are not always right. A few of the bits I got went through fine (JLS dolls and Zhu Zhu stuff) but the others didnt. I have not used the handheld scanners before and wont bother again. At first I thought it was great as I could scan the items on the shelf myself (great as there is no customer scanner in my local). Anyway I just wondered what you thought?!!!
  • Thanks savingjane.

They are like the ones in Waitrose where you basically go around scanning your own shopping.
I just dont understand how if you are scanning the items, the price can then change when you go to the paypoint?
Anyway have sent an email to customer services!

    Thanks

in that case  why have they been hiding them all this time
Id reckon as managers need to look after their figures too, if a product will sell and is going up in price they probably keep it in the store so less loss, it will all be about figures to them, thats why they dont look very happy when they have to do DTD.
