She's put saving the ££££s in the run up to xmas, meaning you boh dont have to pay full price for toys

Also for everyone looking for the kids camera's they have toy story ones available in my local Home & Bargain store and I think they were £14.99 or £15.99 - I saw them in Smyths toy store for £55 ish on sunday so they are a bargain - I think they are kidizoom ones !!

Hi Bettyboo333,
went there this evening, and they didn't have any of the weird science or lego atlantis toys there, sorry, not that i could see anyway! they did have loads of the items already mentioned including the kidizoom cameras in pink, baby annabel, peppa pig grandapas train etc, couldn't believe my luck....... but then everything scanned at the normal pricenever mind was worth a try i suppose. hope you have some luck finding the items you were after.

Bless. I'm the reverse, I'm sat here posting, kids in bed, hubby trawling Tesco's for me :rotfl:0 -
B!dst0n scanners don't work:mad:
Few toys with no price labels, so took them to checkout and all scanned full price. All toys are 'new' stock, but there are lots of boxes on the top with yellow and white labels (think someone previously said they're stock control labels???).
Also tried S3al4nd homeplus in Ch3st3r. Again, lots of new toys going out. The toy sale sections practically bare (so congrats MSE'rs who got them), there were a few 'bakugan' twister things - sorry useless at them.
At one point was being followed by a manager and he kept shaking his head when I'd scan them put things back:o
A bit of Peppa Pig stuff, but all scanned at full price (inc granddad train/truck), there weren't any garages but did have a fire station and a couple of supermarkets.
They also had a few different scooters there, but again all scanned at SEL, there were hello kitty & ben 10, and a tesco one in blue box, all £15. If anyone wants one, pm me and will try to get one tomorrow, if that helps.
Sorry for long post, just wanted to helpful and give as much info as I could, good luck everyone!

i dont know why the managers are watching people scanning the items?? at least you are putting them back and not just leaving them there.**Waiting for a BIG win!**
Thank you all posters!

Tonight's haul across Cardiff
Culv£r:
Ben 10 beach ball 20p
Ben 10 swimming ring 20p
Mighty Beanz 3-packs 30p
Postman Pat convertible (like a transformer only postman pat!) £1
Thomas Sodor airport £3
Fisher Price Pots and Pans £1
******They had two of the kiddizoom cameras in pink scanning for £29. Don't think this is as cheap as others have got them but SEL says £50-odd. I left them as have no one to buy them for.
W£$tern Av£:
Postman Pat helicopter £2
******They had all the JLS dolls on the furthest aisle of toys away from the entrance. I've no interest but thought I might pick them up to pass on. Asked at CS how much they were and she snatched it off me and said "We can't sell you that!". The other six or so that were there are still on the shelf, might be worth someone trying to argue it out if you are desperate for them!0 -
in the last 9days I've been to L8ng Eat8n, T8t8n, B88ston, T8p Vall8y and N8therfi8ld.....got the barbie cars and school sets but now theyre taking the stickers off when they stack the shelves...however have a look on the top shelf...if you see any brown cardboard boxes with them in,get one out of there as these will still have the 1/2 price label onso you can get DTD (naughty me!)....got a few bargains over the last week....Philips lumie lights (£60down to £5)....toys story 3 bits for £1 - £2.50....normal Barbies for £1.80....polly pocket sets (same as Barbie -DTD free)...hair straightners £1.86......andmy best buy...a Vtech kiddizoom for £5!!! but the shelves are looking quite bare now....sawa Dellnetbook tonight for £99 but not sure if it was in stck or 'stored for staff'!!!
It seems they keep adding bits each day...and a few people on here have mentioned theyre having a toy sale this weekend so I'mhaving a day off tomorrow ( to post my swappsies!!)...and venturing out again Friday and Saturday!!
good luck!
Thanks for your help, others have been a little cynical, my local is TV but I've got to go on an errand a little more NG9 way so may try both L E and B'ston. I actually had the vtech camera last week, marked up at £26 and put it down again, wish I'd scanned it now  Never mind!Motto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j
