I managed to pick up a few lime ones and also wondered about dyeing them. Has anyone used the washing machine dyes on towels, and do you have to run your washer empty afterwards to remove it all?
Thanks0 -

ThanksYes I have but as the stitching nowadays is synthetic this does not dye as deep as the cotton towel. So if you were dying them red you would have green 'decorative stitching'
No you do the hot dye wash first, then a second wash that cleans the machineOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind and if I try it, pick a colour that will contrast well with the stitching.0

I tried machine dying a pile of white towels and they were a disaster to be honest, some colours were better than others, beige the worst, but I wouldn't waste my money again.
Thanks for the links everyone, I finally managed to get a pair of lime ones, which I collected Friday, very pleased with them and not as bright as I expected0 -
