Companies who buy your house and rent back

Hi,

Watched Spendaholics on BBC 3 last night and they mentioned companies who buy your house and rent back to you, does anyone have any experiences of this? Came across one on the internet http://www.a-quick-sale.co.uk/ and woudl like to know if anyone has done this??

    Ive often heard about these companies. I think you get less than the market value, but Id be interested to hear of anyones experience with them......

    you would be lucky if they do buy it at market rate, most offer you 50%-70% of what its worth on the open market.

    Hi,

    Thought there had to be a catch, website says they offer between 75-90% of value, but suppose that could be wrong and there will be many caveats

    I'm probably being overcynical but I bet they use valuers who deliberately undervalue property so you get an even lower proportion of the house's real value...

    if you are serious, get a realistic valuation of your house and find out the likely cost of renting in your area before contacting any of these companies.
