I know you have kinda covered this... but why is the CSA so high? Its as if you are paying for the boys twice ie their house and activites and then their CSA? I just can't get my head around it! have you spoke to a benefits advisor to ensure that this calculation is accurate? also who receives the boys child benefit and if its not you then again thats like another double hit!
BTW I think you are doing an amazing job with these debts and providing for the boys!
LianneH - this always used to bother me and believe me it is something I have looked into in detail as my belief in a shared care arrangement is that the parents should share the costs. Sadly as my ex claims the child benefit the CSA see her as a resident parent and me as a non resident parent giving her the gateway to benefits and a maintenance claim despite my costs being exactly the same for clothing, housing and food etc...grrr.
Tis only money though and hopefully some of it gets spent on the boys. These things can ruin your life if you dwell on them so the easier option is to pay it rather than argue it!! One day the system will hopefully recognise fathers that act responsibly.
