Beatthatquote didn't sort out my energy switch!
Hi - Just wanted some advice - I did a switch for gas and electricity in August from EON to EDF fixed price to March 2014. I didn't hear anything but I had read that EDF are pretty slow so I didn't worry. However, I phoned them a couple of days ago and they had no record of me on their system. I got beatthatquote to investigate and, due to an IT error, they didn't send my details to EDF and they are very sorry! So now I have lost that tarrif, plus my fix with EON ended in August so I am on a higher rate with them now.
They are (reluctantly) referring my case onto the complaints department and I have the number to call them if they don't get back to me today, but does anyone think I can do anything about this? If I find out the estimated price of the current cheapest comparable rate and told them the difference, do you think they should compensate me, or does this just go down to really bad luck?
Thanks for any advice.

My naive guess would be that beatthatquote would be unlikely to compensate you on that basis, but if you could be bothered I suppose there is no harm in trying.0 -
I think you've probably done all you can. You've warned us all not to use them and won't them again yourself. Thank you for the warning.0
