Good luck Martin on the tv program and many thanks for getting this publicised. One aspect still to be clarified is getting interest on the cashback. Is it possible to claim for compensation for lack of interest form the VOA rather than the Council. After all its actually the VOA that have made the clerical errors.

We tried ALL Martin has suggested. We went on the valuation website, got orig value of our area. The on to the up to date site, to get todays pricing and we agreed with it too. We went ahead with the argument to get our tax reduced but the 'people who decide' said we had to appeal within 6 months of moving in to our house! We moved in in Nov 93 and have been in wrong band (E). We have all the proof, including solicitors and estate agents sale details but STILL refused. The 'people who decide' sent us a list of houses but NOT close! We looked at all the appeals and NO ONE has EVER won any! How are you able to say we can win this please???
