I wanna locate an old Friend

I lost touch with a friend and want to contact them again. There are sites who will find their address but the cost is significant. Is there somewhere I can get the information for no or little cost?

I know the town, and their name of course.

TIA

Mr T

  • Can't you do a basic search on 192.com?

  • Thanks for that but you have to buy a load of credits to get one answer.
  • I've just searched for someone on it, and it brought up free directory enquiries, giving name, address and phone number. I don't have any credits with them.

You could try https://www.b4usearch.com , but they are updating their electoral roll to 2006/7 at the moment.
  • I think they must be ex-directory as nothing comes up apart from the register of electors which they charge to search.

If you know the town then you could write a letter to the local paper requesting they contact you.

you could see if they are registered on friends reunited.you can search for free, if you want to contact them you then have to pay a yearly subscription which i think is about £7.00.but you could see if a friend or you never know someone from mse who has a full subscription to email them on your behalf.
